There is no useful single price for a household move. A proper quote depends on the amount of goods and the work required at both addresses.
The number and type of items influence carton quantity, crew size and vehicle requirement. A 2 BHK with heavy furniture can price differently from another 2 BHK.
Floor, lift, staircase, parking distance and society restrictions can change the labour and time required.
A same-city move, NCR relocation and intercity move have different vehicle and transit requirements.
Beds, wardrobes and other furniture requiring dismantling add handling time and should be listed in the quotation.
Large appliances, glass, artwork, electronics, plants or other unusual items may need separate handling or packing.
Materials
General household goods are packed in suitable corrugated cartons with labels. Fragile items receive additional wrapping and cushioning, while furniture can be protected with covers, blankets and stretch film as appropriate.
The aim is simple: the packing method should match the item. Heavy books need stronger cartons, glass needs cushioning, and polished furniture should be protected from abrasion during handling.
Cartons can be numbered against the packing list so the customer has a practical reference at delivery.
Paperwork for this service
Household moves can generate a useful paper trail: written quotation, packing list, lorry receipt/bilty and GST invoice where applicable. The packing list is especially useful when you are checking cartons and major items at delivery.
