Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you book a move with Defence Relocation Services.
Quotations
Quotations are issued in writing after a survey and reflect the goods, services and addresses assessed at that time. If the scope changes materially before moving day (additional goods, changed addresses, changed access), the quotation may be revised — in writing, before the move, never at the truck door.
Booking & payment
A booking is confirmed on acceptance of the written quotation. Payment terms (advance and balance) are stated on your quotation. We accept multiple payment modes including online transfer.
Customer responsibilities
Please declare valuables, hazardous items and items requiring special handling before packing day, and arrange society/building permissions where the customer's cooperation is needed (we assist with planning these in advance).
Documentation
Every move is documented with a packing list at loading and a lorry receipt at dispatch. Goods are checked against the packing list at delivery — please verify and raise any discrepancy at the delivery check itself.
Insurance
Optional goods-in-transit insurance is available and recommended for high-value shipments. Insurance terms are governed by the insurer's policy document.
Delays
Delivery timelines are committed in good faith. Delays caused by factors outside our control (weather, road closures, regulatory checks) will be communicated promptly.
