Straight answers about how a Defence Relocation Services move works — pricing, paperwork, insurance and more. Not finding yours? Call or WhatsApp us.
What documents do I get after a move?
A written quotation before the move, an itemised packing list at loading, a lorry receipt (bilty) for the trip, and a GST invoice once the job is complete. These are useful if you're claiming relocation expenses through an employer.
Do you provide fixed quotes, or is the price finalised on moving day?
The rate we quote after the survey is what you pay. We don't renegotiate once your goods are loaded.
How is the moving cost calculated?
It depends on the volume of goods, distance, floor and access at both ends, and the services you pick (packing, dismantling, storage). The survey exists so the quote reflects your actual move, not a guess. As an indication, your approximate cost for a typical local Delhi NCR move would fall in these bands: 1 BHK ₹6,000–10,000, 2 BHK ₹8,000–14,000, 3 BHK ₹12,000–20,000, 4 BHK ₹18,000–35,000.
Can you move a car or bike along with household goods?
Yes. Vehicle transport is booked separately from your household load, usually on a covered carrier, with its own documentation and condition report.
Do you handle moves outside Delhi NCR?
Yes — Delhi NCR moves run daily, and intercity and pan-India relocations are handled through the same booking process.
Is storage available if my new place isn't ready?
Yes, short and long-term storage is available for household goods, office equipment and vehicles between pickup and final delivery.
What packing materials do you use?
Bubble wrap, corrugated sheets, stretch film and heavy-duty cartons — with extra padding for fragile items, which are marked on the packing list.
Can I get insurance for my goods?
Yes, optional goods-in-transit cover can be added at the quotation stage — worth considering for high-value shipments.
How far in advance should I book?
For local Delhi NCR moves, a few days' notice usually works. For intercity moves or month-end dates, a week or more ahead is safer.
What if something is damaged during the move?
That's exactly why every carton is on the packing list and checked at delivery. Raise it with us at the delivery check itself — the paperwork makes resolving it straightforward.
